AMBASSADOR H. OLUWATOYIN SOLAJA (BOARD SECRETARY/OBSERVER)
Ambassador Harrison Oluwatoyin Solaja is the Registrar of the Olusegun Obasanjo Leadership Institute and Secretary of the Board. A retired Career Ambassador, he graduated in French Language and joined the Nigerian Foreign Service in 1981.

He served in various departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and at Nigerian foreign missions in The Hague (Netherlands), Lome (Togo), Washington D.C. (USA), and Cotonou (Benin Republic), where he was Head of Mission Ad-Interim.

From 1999 to 2004, he was the Director of Protocol to First Lady Chief (Mrs.) Stella Obasanjo and later served as Chief of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2009–2011).

From 2011 to 2015, he was the African Union’s Special Representative to Liberia with concurrent accreditation to Sierra Leone. He played a key role in peace-building efforts in Liberia and, alongside the AU Medical Team, actively participated in the fight against the Ebola outbreak in Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea.
