DR. GREG MILLS
Dr. Gregory Mills is the head of the Brenthurst Foundation, Johannesburg, established in 2005 by the Oppenheimers to enhance Africa’s economic performance. He was the National Director of the South African Institute of International Affairs from 1996 to 2005.

He has lectured at the University of the Western Cape and the Centre for Defence & International Security Studies in Lancaster. He is also a visiting lecturer at the NATO Higher Defence College in Rome and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Dr. Mills holds key positions, including:

• Associate Fellow of the Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies (RUSI)
• Member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS)

He has served as:

• Special Adviser to NATO Forces Commander in Afghanistan, General Sir David Richards (2006)
• Head of the Strategic Analysis Prism Group of the 9th International Security Assistance Force (ISAFIX)
• Strategic Adviser to the President of Rwanda (2008)
