PROFESSOR EGHOSA EMMANUEL OSAGHAE

Professor Eghosa Emmanuel Osaghae is a renowned Political Scientist and the Director-General of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Lagos. He previously taught at the University of Ibadan, his alma mater, and was a Professor of Political Studies at the former University of Transkei, South Africa.

He served as the Vice-Chancellor of Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State, from 2004 to 2018. Additionally, he has been a Visiting Professor and Fellow at several esteemed institutions, including the University of London.

A prolific scholar, he has authored numerous books and over 150 articles in Political Science. Recognized for his contributions, he is a Rockefeller Fellow and a MacArthur Fellow. Beyond academia, he was ordained as a Reverend of the Anglican Church in 2008.
